NHS primary care prescribing data for dementia therapies

The GPrX dementia sector focuses on prescription data for anticholinesterases (donepezil, galantamine and rivastigmine) and the NMDA antagonist memantine.

Patients with dementia may also be prescribed other medications to treat symptoms arising from dementia (such as antipsychotics, antidepressants and hypnotics) or to treat the underlying cause of the dementia, in the case of vascular dementia.
